Hi there, Sarah Santacroce here. This is the first of a series of ten videos, ten tips about How to Humanize Your LinkedIn Presence. If you know me a little bit, you know that I’m all about building relationships on LinkedIn. This is the essence of social selling, is that you should build a relationship with your target audience first. Build a relationship with the people in your network, before you go out and sell anything. That’s why I decided to create this series of ten videos. This first one focuses on making your profile more human, so adding a human touch to your LinkedIn profile. That goes for whether you’re an entrepreneur, but it also applies, in my opinion, to people who are looking for a job.
Add a personal note to your LinkedIn Profile
By that, I just mean to add a personal note to your LinkedIn profile to make yourself more approachable, come over as more human, people will feel more connected to you. I teach my clients to just add something in the summary that’s just a personal note and then go into specifics about what it is you’re passionate about. What is your geeky hobby, something that makes you unique. And that you’ll see is often a topic of conversation when people reach out to you or when you meet them in person, they will ask you about this strange hobby that that you have.
That would be my tip for today, add a personal note to your LinkedIn Profile. Go and do it right now!
